Identification Fingerprint Software Supplier to Integrators
East Shore's basic posture
is that of being a supplier of Automated Fingerprint Identification
System (AFIS) software to system  integrators, value added resellers
and users. Within the Civil Identification (CID) system arena, East
Shore provides fingerprint identification software packages ranging
from the supply of image processing and encoding software with matching
engines to the supply of complete CID Fingerprint
Systems.
Image Processing / Encoding
Software and Matching Engine
The
kernel software for a CID system is the civil fingerprint identification
algorithmic software. East Shore can provide integrators with a
fingerprint identification system algorithmic software package for
fingerprint image processing, encoding and matching. The matching
is supplied as a disk based matching engine (inclusive of both software
and hardware). The software package supplied to an integrator
is:
- designed to convert
gray scale fingerprint images into match records (performed at
the workstation level),
- use the match records
to search and compare against match database resident records,
- determine which, if
any records in the match database, have a sufficiently close fit
to the input image to be considered a match,
- update and insure
the synchronization of the matching engine with the central server
database.
It is typical that the
fingerprint matching subsystem, depending on system size and complexity,
will include a parallel processor as part of the hardware configuration.
The match database in the matcher is a specialized database structure.
The matcher engine and related software includes: a transaction
manager, a database manager, a communications manager and the matching
engine software.
Additional System Components
East Shore supplies,
depending on specific integrator or customer needs, the basic fingerprint
identification algorithmic software w/ matcher noted above. We also
supply other fingerprint identification subsystem components necessary
for the production of a system by an integrator, up to and including
an entire system.
Consulting
 In
addition to the supply of civil fingerprint identification system
software, East Shore also provides consulting
services to assist integrators in the design and development of
fingerprint identification systems that incorporate our algorithms,
ranging from small to large scale systems. Our system design expertise
includes both search and verification systems. Our primary areas
of concentration are in both the civil identification area (ID cards,
passports, voter registrations, driver licenses, social welfare,
etc) and the criminal justice area.
